On the back of Arshdeep Singh’s brilliant bowling and Washington Sundar’s explosive innings, Team India defeated Australia by 5 wickets in the third T20 International at the Bellerive Oval Stadium in Hobart on Sunday (November 2). With this victory, India leveled the five-match series 1-1. India successfully chased down a target of 187 runs, which is now the highest successful chase by any team at this venue.

While chasing, India lost their first wicket at a total of 33 runs. There weren’t any major partnerships, but multiple players made valuable contributions — Tilak Varma scored 29 runs, Abhishek made 25, and captain Suryakumar Yadav added 24.
Coming in at No. 6, Washington Sundar played a stunning unbeaten knock of 49 runs off just 23 balls, smashing 3 fours and 4 sixes, guiding India to victory in 18.3 overs with 5 wickets in hand. For Australia, Nathan Ellis took 3 wickets, while Xavier Bartlett and Marcus Stoinis picked up one wicket each.
Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Australia posted 186/6 in 20 overs. Tim David top-scored with a blistering 74 runs off 38 balls (8 fours and 5 sixes), while Marcus Stoinis contributed 64 runs off 39 balls (8 fours and 2 sixes).
