Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav congratulated state cricketer Kranti Goud for her exceptional performance in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 and announced a ₹1 crore cash reward for her outstanding contribution.

Expressing immense pride, CM Yadav said, “Last night, our state’s daughter and the daughters of India lit up the cricket world with their brilliant performance. I want to congratulate each one of them for making the nation proud.”

He further added that this victory reflects the “highest symbol of India’s progress under the leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister.” The Chief Minister officially declared that the Madhya Pradesh government would present ₹1 crore to Kranti Goud as a token of appreciation. Notably, Kranti Goud hails from Ghuwara village in Chhatarpur district.

CM Yadav expressed hope that Madhya Pradesh will continue to play a significant role in national and international sporting events in the future, inspiring more youth to represent the country on global platforms.

Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia announced that the Indian women’s cricket team will receive a ₹51 crore cash reward for winning the ODI World Cup. The amount will be shared among all players, support staff, and selection committee members. Under Harmanpreet Kaur’s leadership, India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the final, securing their first-ever Women’s ODI World Cup title.
